The 19th

The lock that keeps cost and the ballot apart. Here is what it actually says. Here is what it would take to change it.

What it says

The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.
Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

In plain words

The 19th says you cannot be blocked from voting because of sex.
A state cannot stop you because you are a woman. Or because you are a man.
Sex cannot be the reason.
It says nothing about cost. It says nothing about the draft. It says nothing about who bleeds.

What repeal takes

A website cannot change the Constitution. A click cannot change it.

To change an amendment, two-thirds of the House must agree. Two-thirds of the Senate must agree. Then three-fourths of the states must agree. That is 38 states.

A replacement

The vote should follow the cost.
If the state can send your body, you get a say on war.
If you hold the badge, you get a say on crime law.
If you pay the big share of the bill, you get a say on the bill.
Sex is not the test. Cost is the test.
Some men would not meet it. Some women would.
If we will not say that, the rule is a costume.
